David B. Goodwin
Oct 25, 2018Goodwin passed away on October 25, 2018, at the age of 91. He was born on Oct. 23, 1927, in Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Hallie Goodwin, brothers, Myron Goodwin, Bill Goodwin, Horace Goodwin, Bobby Goodwin, and sisters, Mary Belle Harbin and Clara Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Goodwin of 45 years, brother, Richard Q. Goodwin, his daughter, Joyce Goodwin Dixon (Henry), his son, Roger Grayson (Sandi), grandchildren, Amy Dixon Lazenby, Ross Delaney Dixon, Melissa Grayson Holder, Travis Reeves and Shelley Reeves Castle and nine great-grandchildren. David was a member White Oak Church of Christ. David worked at Double Cola Company, co-owned Cleveland Tractor Company with his brother, and was later employed at the Tennessee Department of Transportation. He founded Goodwin Enterprises where he was known as importer of Red Stag Knives for 15 years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Rick Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the funeral home.
